It's so much easier than a Bator. She's the only chicken we've had to hatch an egg before, this'll be her second time raising chicks.

I knew you were gonna ask. Sorry. Bad pics, because I took em with my Kindle. And they were on one arm Hazel and an Ancona (Anconas are very adventurous I've found out) in my hand to show how small Hazel is. Hazel immediately fell asleep, but then she realized where she was, and shrieked really high pitched. This may be our perkiest batch without a broody mom that we ever had yet. Haven't lost one yet. I need to name one Small Jacob, because it sounds so weird to say.
