We have started lockdown. All of the air cells are good shaped and the embryos fill up the whole egg. By tomorrow they probably will have done the internal pip.

One time I offered to help a woman carry her groceries out to her car, since she asked the lady at the register. I was rewarded with a deer in the headlights look. She then turned to the cashier and quietly asked if I worked there. Needless to say I did no helping

I'm so paranoid I thought the albumen was the air cell and I thought it was displaced and on both sides and too big, but it was just fine. All that space disappeared by now. (Who here dissects all their dead eggs? Or am I a weirdo?)

I do when it's obvious what happened. Even with broody eggs. But I did that in my first two hatches. I pulled the Dominique egg out and dissected it because it was super undeveloped, like one spot and no veins, while the others filled the whole eggs. Needless to say, it was dead.

I'll have to post pictures of my squeaky clean coop tomorrow. I put a new roost in there, and actually used an electric saw in the coop while a hen was trying to lay an egg. She must have been incredibly brave or very stupid...
