May 19th ish? I have a turner coming, so I'm more flexible on the arrival date as long as arrival date / hatch date doesn't coincide with june 21 - 24 because I'll be going away. I could have the bator running for those days though if I needed to. I'll only be 2 hours from home if I have chicks I could drive back each night. (which I've done before with no problems with <1 week olds)
It may be better at a later date, it doesn't look like Trumpet is ready for action yet. It also depends upon how fast I can get certified, or if there are any other hoops I need to jump through.

Please tell me that's a broiler and not Ophelia. X-X
Nope, that’s Ophelia. Yes, she’s a bit over weight. She’s already lost about two pounds though! She was sitting at the feeder and eating all day but I moved her to the breeding pen and the feeder is 35ft from the coop so she’s started walking a lot more, she’s been acting more like a chicken then usual, she doesn’t sit at the feeder anymore either.

I know someone allergic to feathers, and yet she is the wife of someone with tons of poultry who goes to shows and she lets them bring chickens to the house. (Tip to everyone. My mom says if you want to have a child sprinkle peanut dust around your house and eat lots of peanut butter so that if they are allergic to peanuts it won't be bad. People were so freaked out about peanut allergies they stopped eating it when expecting and then the kids were allergic. :/)
