Well, the new candling device came in; finally one that worked! :O It's the powerlux. Looks really cheap; tried it because it said 'most popular in U.S.A. and A.U!'. Still not good enough to see vains/clearly embryo(eye) etc. But atleast I could finally look thourgh eggs.
All dead. All 16. In a late stage. I'm going to open them tommorow to see what's up.
The newer other 12 (on day 12); 2 stopped the first days, 1 was cracked at the air-sack but still alive. 9 are alive; a LOT seem to have bacteria, off-air-sacks, other problems.. pffff

This is truely a bad year over here for Indian runners. The person from the first 16 only had 4 out of 60+ fertile eggs surviving...the one from the batch of 12 mailed me yesterday they had only 5 out of 46 fertile eggs... And a lot of breeders with me. Not sure if this is due to the weird weather over here, or something is going on in this small Indian runner duck world in this tiny country, where all ducks are direct family, or a combo. I hope my imported ones from Germany do better next year at healthy eggs.. If I can even get a good male duck this year -_- sigh.
