♥ ♥ ♥ Show Off Your Call Ducks ♥ ♥ ♥

We just came out of a terrible (by southern standards) winter "spell" so to celebrate its ending I brought the duckies in for a real spa day. And also to more closely evaluate who I would be taking to the upcoming shows. I think I may quit my day job and photograph ducks all day, its the best pastime.View attachment 1245356 View attachment 1245357 View attachment 1245358 View attachment 1245359 View attachment 1245360 View attachment 1245361 View attachment 1245362 View attachment 1245363

This is my first winter with ducks and I am eternally amazed that they do not seem to get cold. If there is water to get in there are there. It doesn't matter if its 100 degrees or 10.
Mine were waddling around all happy when the daytime high was about -10F and the chooks were shivering.

There was a layer of ice on that pool this morning, maybe 1/8" thick. Its an old pool, that just happened to fall over and fill up with rain water. They walked out on the ice, and it didn't break, so I broke it for them and they hopped right in!
