Well, I hope it was worth the wait. Here are Trudi and Malcolm warming their webs! As a side note, that was meant to be a shelf for storage, but as you can probably tell by all the stains and feathers and such, they had other ideas for it.

i'm surprised they get up there, i've never seen mine try to get on stuff except to get into a pool

i'm surprised they get up there, i've never seen mine try to get on stuff except to get into a pool

Ironically, they are perfectly happy to hop up there (it's only like 12-18 inches off the floor because it was also supposed to be a nesting area for Trudi and an area to huddle for the wintertime), but when I first got them, they wouldn't fly to get into their pool and I spent days trying to teach them to use the steps.

I already posted this somewhere else, but it's the only pic I got so far. I love my ducks, Sonja, Gilbert( the black one), Jasper( the other drake), Daphne( not pictured but a black bibbed) and Jemima! I'm excited for their babies in the spring!

Decided to get ducks this spring, fell in love with Calls, ( the bigger ducks are jus too messy to me) and ordered six from Purely Poultry! Sadly Buttercup was killed by my dog, but now I can't imagine the poultry yard without my ' Dukes and Duckesses' as I call them.

Sorry about Buttercup.
