I can step over their lazy bodies, durn near step ON them, but lawdy don't let me try to reach out and try to touch them!!

On one of the colder days a bit ago the ducks kept sitting down when I tried to herd them into their coop. At about halfway there they plumped down on their webs and refused to budge even when I bent down and gave them a little shove! Probably the first time I've touched them without panic ensuing.
