We used to cut down a live tree out of the yard to go in my room because we didn’t feel like spending 80+ dollars on a “real” live tree. One year we even cut off the top of a cedar tree because the whole tree was too big.No I haven't heard this one

Last year, we found a nice little pine tree that would fit perfectly and we put it up. Lo and behold, a week later the carpet in my room is crawling with little black bugs; my tree was infested with APHIDS. The warmth of the house encouraged them to hatch out.
Needless to say, we didn’t do the live tree thing again.
