And yeah! I did turn them myself twice but otherwise this thing does it and I really don’t think it turns them much because most don’t touch the rails. Should I start turning them myself?

Get a piece of paper and write down the temperature that they're reading in their current spot so that way in a few hours you can compare it to what the switched thermometer is reading.

I would get the eggs as close as possible in one spot in the bator...to try to keep them all at the same temperature at the same time.
