Poor things... it's not their fault, though. I'm not planning to get them again. I have Chanteclers this year, so that I can hatch my own meat birds. For CX or other technological "miracle" breeds, you don't have to raise them that way unless you're in a hurry. You can feed them in the evenings and let them forage the rest of the day like your other poultry. It's not as efficient, not as quick, but much more humane, I think.Good morning internet peoples. Just caught up. We processed the meat birds yesterday among other things. So glad I won’t have to watch them stuff their faces to death anymore. Gross birds.
