That was fascinating. It sounds to me like humans might, theoretically, be vulnerable to bovine spongiform encephylopathy (aka cwd, aka mad cow disease), but that since the asymptomatic period can run into several decades, no one knows for certain. IOW, it's all speculation.
My translation? "Are there not twelve hours in a day?" (IOW, "Is not the length of your life determined by your Father?") My takeaway: I'm gonna live as long as I'm gonna live. Not gonna take stupid risks or disregard healthful living, but also not gonna worry about bogeys like prions. Life always ends in more or less the same way, so why fret about what cannot be changed?
