My sister has that and had to had hers removed as well. It took a while for the doctors to find the right medication and dosage to put her on for her to start feeling normal. Quite a while actually. She was miserable until they got it right. She's much better now.I have Graves Disease. I wasn’t responding to anything and my thyroid was choking me out. At first they thought it was cancerous. I had to have emergency removal. I’m on levothyroxine now and hypothyroid most of the time.
You are lucky because the recovery is ridiculous. I had staples and stitches. I was itchy and cranky. Then going out in pubic was always fun.
