Kinda sad part of the day for me. I just went out to tuck the birds in, and noticed the empty spaces on the perches, where BeeBees, Red, and Sunshine would usually perch. lost those three last month from multiple sicknesses. They were lovely pets, and I miss them dearly.
Rest in peace my beautiful girls. I hope you are getting better care, than what I tried to provide
for you :hugs:(
:hugs

It’s super adorable haha
That it is. I need to do mine. I have been putting it off since they always end up sneaking into the duck pool. As soon as the labradoodles hair gets wet, it’s as if he hasn’t been brushed in a week. The Pom sheds a bunch but I don’t like shaving her anymore. Her skin goes into shock and gets dry and itchy, so we scissor trim her. She has that double coat that helps keep her cool and she occasionally will take a dip. Dang dogs, I can’t keep them out of anything.

I think she looks adorable, but I've always like that cut. I thought you groomed dogs, no? I worked for a friend of mine who had a grooming shop for several months, and we did a lot of cats in the spring. Aside from the difference in restraint method, it wasn't that much different from doing dogs that I couldn't learn it fairly quickly. I know some people don't like to groom their own animals, especially cats, fearing they will hold a grudge. Which they are very good at.
Bouncer (my mother's Shi-poo that I inherited) has Stockholm syndrome, I think. Every time I groom him (and he does hate it--esp the clipping of the toes and the squeezing of the "grapes"--which the vet taught me) 🙄, he seems more and more attached. I don't get it. If it were me, I'd hate me. 😳

Eclipse's crowing is getting better! He actually sounds like a rooster, now, and not like a strangled foghorn.
Kirby and Simnel are also starting to crow. Both sound like choking squeaky toys.
They try their darned hardest, the sweethearts.
I have one that has a nice crow to him and another that screams the most horrid scream.
I finally acquiesced and started getting our cat groomed/shaved after we had kids. We just didn’t have the time and energy for cleaning and fur control that we had before children. My son is also allergic to cats which didn’t help. He was an older cat and needed a few accommodations that made rehoming unlikely. It was the best compromise we came up with and I started to find it cute after awhile. :p
Shaved kitties are cute...even though I’m mad at cats right now...

Sorry for your birdies😢

Twas me! I eat it quite often right outta the jar, with a spoon.
I do, too. But in my defense, I savor it, slowly. I mean, I'm already eating a lot of carbs with the peanuts and whatever else sugar 😳 they put in there. Why would I spread it on a warm, crispy, savory, fragrant piece of freshly toasted bread???

You must be making him feel better! A lot of dogs hate having their nails done, might have better luck with a Dremel/grinder. It can take them a few tries to get used to them but once they do they are usually better.

Squeezing grapes as doing anal glands or manly grapes?

I love their funny little beginner crows. So cute!

They sound adorable!! But lots of maintenance! Luna is mostly pretty maintenance free unless she goes outside and gets burrs or whatever. I need to try to get her to like brushing somehow. And yeah dogs are pretty nasty critters 😂🤣
