Oh my goodness... the poor thing!I saw this recently and thought some of y'all might find it as interesting as I did. Never seen anything like it.
A fawn found with a rare facial cleft: a Tessier number 7 cleft, in which the face fails to stitch together starting at the base of the ear.
❤ I like to take a short walk after a day like that. Helps my body understand that my brain is tired.
Are you working on anything particular right now?
Sorry, I put it in a spoiler!Oh my goodness... the poor thing!
I... I might have nightmares now, too.
*Shudders.*
Poor little one!
A walk would have been niceBut my lungs were not up to it today, so DH and I went for a drive instead.
I am working on a grant application to the National Science Foundation. I have actually been working on it since January. BUT it is finally *almost* done. And it is the last thing I have to do to advance to candidacy. Plus, if I don't get it finished soon I will probably go insane and break my computer of something lol.
I knew it would be something cool.
Congratulations, I hope you finish with a bang and all your hard work pays off. You deserve it.
Really? Then the cleft also affects his brain's physical sensation receptor thingies?Sorry, I put it in a spoiler!
If it makes you feel any better, he would not have been in any pain (aside from being hungry).
I'm not sure what it's from, but it's not mineHome from the beach! I found this in a tide pool -- it looks like some kind of tooth:

So... any idea? Shark tooth? Some other fishy's tooth?
@CarpCharacin, did you lose a tooth in the ocean?
No, his brain would've been intact.Really? Then the cleft also affects his brain's physical sensation receptor thingies?
It looks horrifying, but that sounds kind of interesting....
For the sake of practice? Or does it add to your reputation/CV in some way? Thanks! The odds of me getting the grant are not good, but the process of writing it is still useful. (As I remind myself frequently).
