Think of scratch as a bag of chips.
It's junk food and if someone uses it they should use very little of it.

Oh. We switch between scratch and cracked corn based on whats cheaper at the time.

If people don't want to feed their chickens the best they can, that's on them. Their chickens pay the price, won't be as productive nor live as long.

I agree, and I think those people are crappy.
But I think some people really don't know better.

I agree with not knowing but I just don't think people care to learn. The information is out there but they don't internalize it.
I teach lots of classes on poultry at community colleges, poultry conferences and green venues. A big focus of classes is nutrition. That's why I have so many feed bags and ingredient tags still around. Show and tell stuff.
