Balut is a developing bird embryo (usually a duck) that is boiled and eaten from the shell. ... (pong tia koun; Khmer: ពងទាកូន), Thailand (Khai Khao; Thai: ไข่ ข้าว) and Vietnam (Vietnamese: trứng vịt lộn or hột vịt lộn). ... In the Vietnamese version, "hot vit lon", the egg is incubated for 19 to 21 days, when the embryo is old.

This has to be the most disgusting "food" I've ever seen

DH and I are HAM radio operators.

Digital is like sending text messages through the radio. You can broadcast your radio station information and other people can pick it up. The computer provides the keyboard/decoding and display.

I got my Tech license in March. DH got his General license in Feb. There are three levels of HAM operators, Technician, General and Extra. DH upgraded to Extra three weeks ago and I upgraded to General last Sunday.

Which proves you can teach an old Chicken Herder new tricks!

I enjoy the digital because you don't have to talk to people.....I'm retired. I'd done talking on the phone.

HAM radio is text now?

When I was a kid, Grandpa had a HAM radio set up in the basement that he built himself. It was on a table about 8’ long, with tubes and wires and dials everywhere. He could talk to people all over the country with it. :old

Unfortunately he passed before I was old enough to realize how neat it would have been to have him teach me. :(
