i mean that the cord was probably s tuck to the shell meaning it wasnt ready to be pulled off the chick. I dont mean that they assisted the chicks i just mean when they gather the chicks off the hatching tray it probably got pulled off the shell without them noticing.

I checked on the babes at 5am and saw nothing. I freaked out thinking a snake somehow phased through the wire and had eaten them all.
