I am not certain of this, but I thought something about the barring? Lighter chicks with heavier white barring are roos and darker chicks are pullets. That is what I remember and my memory is NOT always reliable.Quick stupid question while I’m out with the chicks. Are barred rocks sexable as chicks? Like sex links? Or could mine still potentially be cockerels?

a round white head spot is pullet.. a irregluar head spot is cockerelI am not certain of this, but I thought something about the barring? Lighter chicks with heavier white barring are roos and darker chicks are pullets. That is what I remember and my memory is NOT always reliable.
Edited to add: As day old chicks - think the way the white spot on the head appears is also a factor. Not sure which was is which though. Ain't I helpful?
