What! I'm not going to be able to candle them...that's going to be way worse than it is now. I might really die.So proud of you! You Rock!
I am incubating duck eggs too. Yours are growing nicely!
When day 27 comes, stop rotating the eggs, do not candle....I know it will be hard.
Some say stop moving them at internal pip, but the embryo needs to settle for hatching.
Unlike chick eggs, ducks can take up to two days to get out of their shell after external pip. The duckling will be vocal and then quiet for long periods of time.
This can be very distressful to us, but necessary for the baby to build strength to break out of the hard shell.
The reward is worth it!
