The only time I've been to Louisiana was about a year or two after Katrina. I was delivering a UPS truck, as the fleet in NOLA was destroyed by salt water... anyhow, I was furious at how little the government had done to help. 2 years later and barely anyone was back living there. There were acres of FEMA trailers that people weren't allowed to use, just sitting there.

Maybe it's the Canadian in me, but I was pissed...

Yeah, I love my job There is also a biology museum at my university that has an AMAZING skeletal collection

I love this site! So many different people (with vastly different professions) all joined together because we love birds. It's incredible.

Is anthropology the study of people/ bones and archaeology the study of artifacts or is it the other way around?

Yes Katrina was rough! I was only 21 when it hit, and thank God it didn't affect my home town drastically, but I remember the devastation. Our population and the population of neighboring towns grew substantially following Katrina due to the amount of refugees that relocated. I still know many people who never got to go back home afterwards. There was no home for them to return to. It was really awful.

Anthrolopology is the study of people and cultures I believe... googling to confirm... and yes! That is correct!

I can't believe @Tesumph got me to take pics of a cat's arse and then didn't even confirm is gender for me!
