➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

I thought you meant like get him dressed and do his hair and such.
He gave up doing his hair this year.
:love

I kind of did when I said get him ready but originally when I mentioned it being a school night I just meant that you had to be up early tomorrow too. I have girls so mornings are dramatic at times. And I drive mine to two different schools plus I have to go to school. School mornings are when I'm thankful I live in a small town.

And Kiki does it...
Not with a broody. I am the queen of touching eggs at lock down when they're in an incubator. I think it is useful. You can change incubator conditions based off what you see, and you can catch malpos that might result from incubation hiccups. When they're under a broody, you can't really do anything but make it worse. Well, I suppose you could assist, as long as you have the world's nicest broody. Mine have a tendency to jump off the nest if I fiddle too much so I just play it safe and steer clear.

Eta: I candle broody eggs before lock down though, whenever they get off to eat.

You, obviously haven't had the top shelf rum. It can be delightful. However, if you choose quantity over quality, yes, it can be disgusting in the more base interpretations.

However, if you were a pirate, you would drink whatever was placed in front of you. Which begs the question, what do witches drink? I mean, besides virgin blood and that sort. What is your alcoholic spirit of choice? Absinthe? Mezcal?
I like whiskey, bourbon and beer. And the blood of the innocent.

I’m the opposite! I have and always will have a dog sleeping in the bed with me. :)

When I was younger my min pin Sadie slept with me every night. I had her until she was 18 so she actually knew my kids before she passed. But yeah I get it, I just don't like anymore. I've gotten to where I just want my space.

Using Pugsy's chart from a lot of pages back, days 17-21 show smaller air cells than I'm looking at. Even #3 is bigger than the chart.

So, if one has internally pipped, 3 days to chick-ish. Fun times.
It's a bit surprising, usually higher humidity means less moisture is lost giving you smaller air cells. There's not much to do this late in the game, especially since your broody is doing all the work. So just let it be and relax. It will probably be fine.

Perhaps I should have said "at hatch". Are they really internally pipping on day 16?? Are they quail eggs?

Nope. Appear to be chickens. Chicken Rancher assured me chickens. From the chart above, 3 are on day 28.

So, assume they were fresh. Assume they hadn't developed before being stuck under the hen. Assume I know what I am doing (big stretch, ain't it Batty?).

Today is 26th - 9th = 17 days under the hen. Still should be 4 days. We have had a high heat and broody stayed on the nest. Good momma.

Is it this one? This is for ducks so the air cells may be different :idunno I have never incubated ducks before so I couldn’t tell you if they are.

Same here! One of the things I love about pugs is how people craving they are. I tried to sleep with the Chihuahua after my previous pug passed away, but she would only sleep at the foot of the bed. Wasabi wants to be right next to you if not laying on you. He also leans against my leg when in cooking.:love

lol my favorite thing about my Pekingese is how independent she is. Very catlike. She wants to play and get pets on occasion but as soon as that's over she scoots over completely away from me and lays down. Neither of us are cuddlers and I like it that way.
