➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

I added another:
"Do not set eggs that have the air cell in the wrong place."
Found one of these the other day under a duck. Not only is the air cell on the side of the egg, the egg is long and pointy. I'll get pictures of it.
If I followed that I wouldn't have set any of my shipped eggs! 4 still going strong.

Can you make a sling?

Also...if she passes are you going to spend them money to get a necropsy this time to see if you are in fact dealing with Marek's?
If I can figure out how to make one I will.
And yes, I will this time because if she does I need to clean house. And I was planning on showing next year so knowing if I have it is kind of a big deal.
I'm not going to be like Egg Man and act like I don't have issues....... (Can you tell I'm a bit salty?)

Idk why I'm looking for a place to point fingers about this but I am :hmm
I still am suspicious about why only she has it AND her mother appears to have died from the same thing.
(And lack of care because EmBb doesn't care for his animals....)
That is weird, but it could be that her bloodline has a low resistance to it, thus falls ill to it faster.

I've seen people with that build up too.
Do you think that hurts the eggs or are you saying it just because the build up can get the bator nasty?
If you are using an automatic humidity system like I do, it will cause the float valve to plug up.

If you had well water as bad as mine, it can plug up the pores in the egg. I had extremely poor hatches until I eliminated that and a few other problems.

Her parents were bought at a breeder sellout at a swap...
I'm sensing a trend here.

I think I need to have a talk with Egg Man.
I think you do too. I'll try and think of things to create a sling for her. The only thing I'm worried about is that if it is Marek's then it is probably the neural due to her symptoms.

What is an automatic humidity system?
This sounds neat.

Swaps :sick
Fair shows :sick

A lot of people know ZERO about chicken diseases and BIOSECURITY and there are a lot of people that just care about money and ribbons.

There is a member right here on BYC that has deathly ill birds ALL the time and she still takes birds to sell at swaps.
Disgusting.
