Cake is cake... Right?

Nope. At least not in that instance.

Should I Google this?

Probably not

You might be scarred lol

If you truly do not know what it means.

The cake is a lie.

Lmao

Lol... yes Tes. Yes. Like charades. :gig

That's one way to describe it :lau

All the birds are always sick. I’ve never not seen a dove there that’s fluffed up and rattling, or finches with crusty eyes.

Same for the rodents. The breeding is bad and the contagious diseases are rampant. The handling is horrible too.. I once asked an associate if I could check out a rat that looked sickly. He picked it up by the tail and told me to be careful of its teeth. If looks could kill that kid would be 6ft under.

They push for terrible living conditions too. Those plastic critter keepers that come in all the fun shapes that people shove hamsters into? That’s the equivalent of putting 12 chickens in one of those pre-fabbed coops with no ventilation.

Ours are usually always healthy, maybe your petco is a bad one :(

But UGH YES! I hate advocating those for hamsters or even mice. People don't realize it but hamsters actually need a lot of room.

Or those teeny little bird cages for parakeets and finches :(

Wait...so my fake quail brooder bird cage...is it not big enough for 2 little birds?

Not that anyone cares if you bitch about a sick hamster or a beta fish being kept in a literal cup of water.. same as whining about a chicken’s living conditions to someone who doesn’t care, which I’m sure all of us can relate to.

At least my petsmart doesn’t sell ferrets. I would lose it every time I need to buy dog food or whatever.

I once mentioned a dead fish and they were really concerned and immediately pulled it out.

But at another store I mentioned a platy without a tail (must have gotten bitten off or caught in the filter) and he came and looked at it but said there was nothing they could do. Just had to wait and let it die. :(
