➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

All the Petcos/Petsmarts up here partner with the Humane Societies. The only animals for adoption there are pound critters :)
It's a great system.
I've only seen one of those awful pet stores around here still doing business and it's also a feed store. It's horrible. Don't know who would support such a practice.
Both Petco and PetSmart always have cats for adoption from local shelters and a least once a month they have adoption day on the weekend where they have local shelters or rescue groups come in with dogs (and once a rabbit) for adoption.
Most of the time they all get adopted before the day is out.

What is the peafowl scream schedule??? All the time? All year? I love the idea of having them but the noise!!! Also other than ornamental do they have a purpose? And...last one...How many eggs do they lay? I'm truly curious.
The make lots of noise from about April through August during the breeding season.

Just eye candy, though some people do eat them.

Some hens lay tons of eggs, others might only lay 15 in a season.

Yea, I wasn’t so much talking about dogs and cats with petco/petsmart. I respect the adoption day events that they put on, even if they’re somewhat of a corporate monster.

The way they treat all their other animals is gross. I can’t look at the bird and rodent sections without getting sick to my stomach. Don’t even get me started with the fish.
I know the Betta fish make me sad because of the way they keep them. Even the 'recommended' bowls for them seem too small, but what's your grief about the small animals? They seem to keep it pretty clean. Is it the size of the containers?
Honestly I haven't really paid attention. I don't use their vet or grooming services.

Other than for contraception, some girls take it to control their menstrual cycles. My sister was prescribed it in middle school because she was having unending cycles and was becoming very anemic.

Yeah, somewhat included in the hormone thing

Well it IS the happiest place on earth.
Or is it “where dreams come true?”

Ah, same thing. ;)

Lmfao

I’m honestly not sure if this is a joke (if so, I don’t get it).

Um, to not have babies for starters.
Also for painful and irregular cycles. Sometimes it’s prescribed to control hormonal acne.
Lots of reasons.

Was hinting to cypress lol

Glad you said something. I wasn't sure how to reply  :lau

Yea, this.
I started it in highschool long before I needed contraception for similar reasons.

She was hinting at Cyprus to help her get what Kiki was talking about.

Yeah, that lol thank you

:barnie What have I started?

:lau

Ours are usually very clean but some of them are better than others (we have several Petcos and Petsmarts near me). Now Walmart is depressing, sad, and gross. They only carry fish and usually several dead and/or stuck in filter or sick. :sick:hit

Oh. A charades thing. I get it now.

Lol yup
