➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

Why do you want a roo? Are you wanting to breed or do you just want to experience it?
A bad one is such a pain in the ass and can totally mess up flock harmony. If you’re happy with your hens, I don’t see why you’d fix what ain’t broke. :idunno

Both reasons. I want to play around with egg colors and hatch my own chicks rather than searching for hatching eggs of the type I'm looking for here. It's really hard to find them here and then I only like to give my hens a few at a time bc I don't want a ton of chicks at once. I also do want the experience as well.

My neighbors are divided. I've got grouches on one side who haven't complained but may later, these are to the west of me. Then I've got the cool crew to the east of me who are like yeah more chickens! It's seriously a tough call and fight with myself daily about it. I think I know the right thing to do is pass on it. Just wanted other opinions on the matter.
x2 with @Tesumph. I wouldn't bother.

I love roosters, as a whole. I can't imagine a flock without them. To be fair, some I love in soup more than running around outside, but a good rooster will make keeping your flock safe 50% easier.

This is why I should not be giving advice.

I have dirt. They owe me big. They did something awful to me once, but I'm forgiving and I'm not a play dirty type. It's almost worth it for a roo. They were so ashamed that they'd probably never complain but I just don't like to push people's buttons. It's totally not my style.

Ew. You're such a weird Scot.

Me too, but boy, are they hard!
We had to do single, double, and triple point perspective last semester. I was obsessive with the ruler.
Our semester long project piece also had to be one of them, mine was that deer & mountain lion drawing. Much less rigid than an architectural/indoor kind of piece.

Sketch pics.. pretty please? :D

Tomorrow, when I have good lighting. I doubt you can even tell what I'm trying to do at this point. It's in my head.
I'm trying to do a perspective looking up in a huge tower-like area, making up an indoor bunker slash home in a fantastical, conan-ish sort of way. I'm aiming at something slightly creepy, with lots of detail and emphasis on perspective.
