If you do this be careful on puppy socialization. You would most likely have an unvaccinated puppy so don’t want to be letting them go where lots of other dogs go. Parvo is not something you want to risk
Where are you going
What is there that you want?
A dog?
No.
You need job and a house first.

Getting my puppy love this morning. Leaving for a little vacay with mom, sis & kids this weekend and I'm going to miss this face. We take this trip every year yet all I want to do is stay home and rest this year. I haven't even packed yet and we leave this evening.
Last one... but I mean.... her cuteness just doesn't get old!View attachment 1520708
I used to do that when I lived in the US. Kroger sold suet dirt cheap. I'd take it home, render it, add peanut butter and bird seed. Freeze it until needed. We got so many different wild birds in! I loved just sitting there for hours, watching. I can't get suet like that in Canada. The only thing I can find is commercially packaged shredded stuff that costs a bloody fortune.
(This is for feeding wild birds btw, not chickens).
I was thinking the exact same thing.
Sabi eating his first strawberry.
He is the size of Nutty's things nose!

Good point. I figured at home if I went to stores or somewhere I could carry the puppy or put it in a shopping cart so it wouldn't touch the ground but I didn't think about parvo on the road.
Yeah a breeder. But I'm probably not gonna get one. At least not any time soon.
And I guess so. But plenty of people rent with dogs. And we have a ton of land here and a lot of places to take the dog to exercise or walk/hike. And central to a lot else both for the dog and me to do so I'm likely not going to be moving out for a while anyway. Especially since the chickens and my vegetable garden are here.
As for the job, yeah, I probably should get one first but I'm also not sure I even want a regular job. I might just walk more dogs and/or start pet sitting. Want to eventually start training too but that's likely a long way off because I still have a ton of books to read and some online/video courses I bought to watch and use and then I also want to sign up for an online dog training school. Or might go back to school to get the 4 year in behavioral science. Haven't really decided yet. But of course if I do that I couldn't get a dog yet.
But anyway, also trying to save up to move out so I guess buying a dog now is kind of incompatible with that ha but if I got one, it wouldn't be until at least the spring or possibly even fall anyway so at least 6 months to a year so lots of time to save up.
But idk anything for sure yet. I just know I have a bit of puppy fever but doesn't necessarily mean I'm going to get one.
Although having one would be good if I went to dog training school either online or physical (they also have dog training schools not just regular college) cause you often need one to train, although I could possibly use Libby.
Awwww adorable
Weird they don't sell suet in Canada.
Glad I'm not the only one lol
