I have not thought about this. You do realize that the minute that you lend out your incubator that you will get an overwhelming urge to start incubating.
Maybe the principal will just say no.

Ooo I LOVE it! So pretty and practical looking. I bet you and your ladies are going to love it even more, though!New coop is almost finished. I would have done a step by step thread but I literally went to work and came home to it being almost complete. My brother in law does good work! We still have a few odds and ends to finish before we move the girls in, but I know they'll be happier with their new digs.

Sdm I agree that's ridiculous and unfortunate. Pits are finally beginning to get a fan base bc of education. Maybe an advocate for game breeds and their amazing rich history could do the same for the birds. I kept a pit that was from very old bloodlines (she was Adba registered which I'm not even sure exists anymore). She was from old fighting lines but her breeders were law abiders and kept the lineage alive by putting them in pulling contests. Her father was so high strung, he was one enormous solid muscle and gorgeous. My hubby worked with the breeder and was offered pick of the litter bc he knew she'd be a pet. Our girl was stunning, pure orange and white with matching eyes. A full 60lbs and big. With all of her bad "genes" I was able to socialize her and train her and she was the sweetest dog alive. Don't get me wrong... I NEVER want another. She was neurotic unless she was worn out and really needed to be with people with a high intensity lifestyle, which I accommodated for her until I got pregnant, but after that she was too much to handle (although I did and kept her until she passed at 14) All that to say that these breeds people deem as bad are actually some of the most amazing animals to have if you know what you're getting into. The key is education and for the right people to know about the breed so they can rightfully get into it, support it and advocate for it.
Love it...beautiful patches!View attachment 1525872 Look at the new collar diva got yesterday.
Just add it straight to the drinking water. So @NanaKat you just add the oxine straight to drinking water? Do you spray the coop down with it ever? I have a gallon but I've been trying to decide how I want it use it.

Roosters are exotic animals same category as monkeys and stuff wow

Oxine can be activated with citric acid and used to "gas" the interior of the coop, but I haven't attempted that... would have to seal all windows, doors and vents and keep birds out until finished.
I have used it in wash water when I clean cages, feeders, waterers and roosts when I scrub clean them.
I also use a 10% solution to spray eggs for incubating and in the water I add to the incubator for humidity.
Headed to sleep. Bbitm.
