This is a picture from GFF, on the left is the pullet. They look similar to me.I've never seen dark ones like this...they look black/gray.
Not all Cream Legbars look the same at hatch. Some are darker and some are lighter. What they all have in common is that a small or no white head spot along with a well defined chipmunk stripe is a pullet and a large irregular head spot with a poorly defined chipmunk stripe is a cockerel.I've never seen dark ones like this...they look black/gray.

The first time I ever let my chicks out to free range in my backyard, one of my girls swallowed a foot long snake. She was about 4 weeks old.*side note totally unrelated*
Yesterday we caught a couple of minnows from our creek. Tried to give them to the ducks. They didn't want anything to do with them. So we gave them to the chickens. Well, 2 chickens because they were piggies and didn't share. Hubby was freaked out because he watched Lucy gobble the minnow down, whole. He's like, "whoa! you can't eat that thing whole like that, you're gonna choke!" Turns to me and says, "omgosh! she just ate that thing whole.just gobbled it down.
" Then told me to watch her just in case she had any problems.
I said to him, if they can eat frogs (which they've already caught a few) I think they'll be able to gulp down a minnow. One was a good size tho. The other was tiny. I think we're going to try to catch more over night on the weekend and make sure all of the girls get one as a treat. Maybe try and entice the ducks again.

@casportponyI just got done checking on the chicks and ducks a few minutes ago. I looked in the coop and saw this.
On top of shavings.

This is what I was talking about before that I saw. Looks like a yoke yes? Again I am not seeing any shell or anything else. It's not some weird kind of diarrhea or anything that I need to be worried about is it? Interestingly enough, it was in around the same spot that it was before. Egg eater? Poor egg quality? Again, I will keep an eye on them. I think it is the 2 Jersey Giants. The Australorps started laying first. Is just weird.
