Update on the barnyard surprises. They are on the roost for the second night with Mom at almost 3 weeks old. Still teeny. the 18 week old EEs have been kicked off the roost and are trying to sleep in the nest boxes??? Argh!

The roosting time rumble!

My 6 week old are on top of a nest box, trying to make a bid for the roost. My cockerels have been fighting over one little out of the way perch -- the hens kick them off the main roosts. They used to all be able to squeeze on it, but they are too big now. Two fit on it and two sleep on the ground.

I actually have a moose hide and elk hides and a bear skin rug. The moose hide is really heavy but not nearly as heavy as a buffalo hide.
