I actually have a moose hide and elk hides and a bear skin rug. The moose hide is really heavy but not nearly as heavy as a buffalo hide.

Kiks is right, you know. I do need pics. I love hides. My uncles have some beautiful ones, but alas, I am hideless...

Do you wear them or use them as rugs or blankets?

The elk and moose hides are on a downstairs sofa that I currently can't get to and the bear skin rug is hanging on the wall. I will think about pictures tomorrow.

I do know a man who had a buffalo hide that he would cover his young girls with while they were watching TV on a cold night. It took a lot of effort for them to move under all that weight.

No, the meat box heroes are only two weeks old. They have outside privileges now. I came out today and found them all in a big pile next to the water dish.

The 6 weeks olds are the My Pet Chicken chicks that got temporarily lost in the mail.

Got the name of a guy from Colorado that will sew my Axis and Oryx hides into a cape. Axis on the arms and the Oryx as the main one. NOT CHEAP! But they do nice leather work. I need to save my pennies.

I believe it, in regards to the buffalo skin. I'll bet they weigh a ton! I'd love to see your bear skin. They're a personal favorite of mine. I guess I should take up hunting or something.
I used to tan the hides of the rabbits when I was little. Damn coyotes always stole them.
