➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

That is a new look for you. Are feeling well? You look a little pale.

I saw all the decorations in the store while cruising the marked down gardening stuff. Christmas is right around the corner and the stores are getting antsy.

On incubators, it sounds that a Little Giant brand egg turner is cost effective and the trays are the majority of the cost. Is there a better one to build a bator around?
Can someone send me the dimensions? It appears to be larger than your standard ice chest. Which means cut it down to ice chest size or make a custom box around the turners. I am really too lazy to turn eggs 3 times a day.

How will you be cooking? How old was Bravo?
I found 16 week old BR pullets were chewy on a rotisserie. Not bad, but noticeable. Much better slowly cooked in soup.
He was hatched June 23, so he was just over 14 weeks. I think we are going to bake in the oven.
ETA: we have cooked older birds before, and had better success with letting them set in the fridge for a longer time.

It is coming along nicely.
What is this?

I found anything over than 12-13 weeks is a little chewy. I don't mind it, but DH is not a fan.

A simple 24 hours in the fridge and then a minimum of marinating 8 hours in a mild salt and seasoning brine will help.
