I got a new dining room table last week and I just couldn't trash the old one.

I got the bottom piece on and was almost finished attaching it when my staple gun. Decided to quit. I'm out of washers again. :he I might finish up tomorrow. I'm not sure yet how I am going to finish the front side. One door or two and how exactly I am going to make said doors.

My little handsome tiny dancer went to his new home today! :hit The couple was so excited because they are getting into chickens again and they loved him. He’s going to be used for breeding a new flock and to protect their girls. :love

Adrienne - you have a work bench for a dining table? What are you using for a rum table? :D

We've been getting the remains of soft shelled eggs under the roost. Yesterday, the eggs in the nest were covered in egg white. Today, as I was sauntering past the flight cage, one of the Leghorns was all fluffed up by the tree, not the nest box. Dropped a shell-less egg right in front of everyone without shame. Quickly, cleaned up before I could reach it.

A little later, leghorn was standing with her eyes closed. She isn't feeling well. Plenty of egg shells and oyster shell available. Assuming the same hen, what should I research?

And good news, one of the EEs did the squat. This is Kiki's yellow boy. Only one with a respectable comb to speak of. She put on her eye rouge a couple of weeks ago. Blue eggs for Halloween?

Research "culling."

Last of the CX heading to freezer camp tomorrow.
Rotisserie for supper was beyond superb. Brined with rosemary and a jalapeño shoved under the breast skin. Side of green beans and tomatoes. I ate too much. :D

And enjoyed every bite. Now to debone and eat all week.

Bone broth will be cooking tonight in the slow cooker from the bones and the "other" parts harvested today.

We know that we can’t protect our boys from everything that happens, but so far we’ve been extremely lucky that the ones we’ve sold have gone to great homes. It helps when they’ve been raised as roosters should be raised as opposed to people trying to rehome human attackers.
