➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

I'd be so ticked off! As a landlord, whether you "want" to do something or not, isn't it "their" responsibility to take care of it? Or did the person have car ins? Do you even know who did it? If they did, I would think the Ins would take care of any of the damage. Ugh! I am so much of a "it's the principle of the matter" type person and this kind of crap just hits me wrong. I'm so sry that you're having to go through it.
That really sucks. Also, agree that it's probably illegal. Doesn't the landlord have to provide services and make repairs to stuff that was working properly when you moved in? How is the post office going to deliver the mail? Do you have a lawyer friend to ask about this? If the landlord refuses to fix the damage, especially if he state's it in writing, I would fix it yourself and then deduct the cost from your next rent payment with a clear note and copy of the receipts. Might still wanna ask a lawyer first to make sure what options you have.
Oh trust me, we absolutely know they are getting insurance money because it was a company truck. They’re crooks and we’re tired of being treated like dirt. We just don’t have the money to take them to court because we’re trying to buy a house but they have enough money to send their kid to MIT for fun.

Our mail is on hold, and the best part is they say that they will fix it but then it takes 2 months of us asking daily for them to fix it and then they only fix it halfway. When they “fixed” the a/c they killed the heater apparently.

I don't understand how normal people do it.
You need a cabinet incubator so that you can set a new batch every week. Then you use your current incubator as a hatcher. You will constantly have quail at all stages of development and growth and a continuous supply of fresh quail to eat.

Argh. Do you think they might be silver laced cochins then? They definitely have feathers on their feet. And since the combs are the same on all, they are probably two colors of the same breed, whatever that is. Super frustrating. I think I need to go to the feed store and ask them to give me the name of the chick supplier and do a little digging. Thank you for your expertise.
Ok, so I went and talked to the feed store. They get chicks from Privett Hatchery and Belt Hatchery, and they think they ordered the chicks from Privett. Privett only has Dark, Light, and Buff Brahmas, so I definitely didn't get Brahmas. Their website lists several colors of Cochin, including Blue and Silver Laced, so that is probably what I ended up with.

Now I have to figure out if I want to keep the little stinkers or try to sell them now. Very frustrated that they would order the wrong chicks and say they were right rather than just straight up say they didn't have the breed I wanted.
