I got my first DUCK egg yesterday! I was shocked and so excited! I think it was from the little mallard Luna but I am not sure. We checked twice today so far, because we're impatient and excited, but no egg as of yet. I weighed it and it was 60g (basically a size large chicken egg). I read on a hatchery website that Mallard eggs are somewhere around 65g-75g. A Rouen will lay eggs around 80g-95g. Now this being a first egg it could still be either of theirs but my bet is on my little Luna boo. It still looked large to come out of her little body. Poor thing! LOL!
