We’re leaving for Colorado at 7am tomorrow. Perfect timing to rescue some dogs, right?

These two were wondering our neighborhood this morning.

Brown one was terrified, growling at me and keeping a good distance between us. Black one is ancient and was hobbling along behind her friend, kept collapsing ‘cause she was so tired. Of course we couldn’t leave them.
Ended up luring the black one in with turkey and carrying her into our backyard. Trapped the brown one when she followed her friend in. Made friends with brown one and now she’s fine, she was just so scared. No tags, took them to the vet and no chip either... about to try and drop them off at a shelter, wish me luck.

Awwww poor things. Have you tried posting in some lost dog groups on FB or Craigslist? They might be able to find their owner. And if you do Craigslist, you can leave their photo out of it and just say where you found them and have somebody call to describe their dogs so that way, the actual owner finds them and not someone who just claims to be the owner. But the shelter is probably the best bet too, especially if you are leaving. But you could always try posting in the FB groups or on Craigslist anyway and just say you found some dogs and that you are taking them to the shelter so that way if somebody does look online, they will see that.
