I'd never throw a cell phone though...they are too expensive to replace.

The problem with growing asparagus is waiting until the bed is well enough established to support harvesting it. Choose the site for your asparagus bed well because that is where it is going to stay. If I remember correctly, you can start harvesting it the third year. It is imperative to let it go to seed every year. You can kill a bed of asparagus off by over harvesting it or harvesting before the bed is sufficiently established.Wow! That's awesome. Maybe we can try to grow some this yr. I need to see if it will grow well here.
