The dog saga continues.
Turns out Theia likes Triumph a little TOO much.. my old man either has a pinched nerve or a slipped disc or something of the sort. He’s had an on and off limp in his front leg for over a year now, but we’ve kept it under control with food supplements.
Yesterday after a rough play match with Theia he had this episode where he couldn’t lift his neck and his front legs gave out. Scared me to death. He’s going back to my parent’s this week for bed rest with strict instructions of no tug of war, no walking on a leash, no jumping off beds, etc. Theia’s just a little too much for him.
His back is very sore but it’s not slowing him down. He’ll be seeing a vet soon, I have a feeling they’re going to put him on long term anti-inflamatories and/or steroids.
I’m not a particularly emotional person, but thinking about my bubby boy getting into this stage in his life really tears me up inside.. I know how this goes, and I know this is the first step in their decline. I’m just not ready.![]()
