➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

Yes, flowers
Yes, vegetables
Ground is still frozen
Seeds are in the mail
Who me garden!
Plants coming up.
Ducks noodled out the plants
Dogs ate the cabbage and spinach

Yes, I have seeds in pots and hoping for seedling soon. Peas are ready to go in after this cold spell.
I ordered 10 varieties of tomatoes, 5 kinds of peppers, 4 types of squash. I had carrots, onions, brassicas already.
I also have tree seedlings in the refrigerator already sprouted and ready to set in pots.

The staff had Cody up walking three hours after surgery!
In the fridge or on top of it?
I like to sprout my seeds in a bag on top of my fridge...am I supposed to be putting the bag inside or are tree things different?

These are tree seedlings. Layered between damp paper towels. When the seed begins to swell, you gently remove the papery husk and then let it grow roots. Apple seeds need their husks removed now. Transplant into a pot for sprouting the top. I have a couple of peach seedlings I'm going have to hurry to a pot!

I eat a lot of peaches. I also bury the compostable kitchen waste in the garden because it is too dry here to get a compost pile to work properly. Every year I have peach trees come up in the garden. I will often let them stay over the winter because the odds of them surviving the winter are really poor. I currently have one peach tree that has survived the past two winters and is getting its chance to survive the current winter. I gave a neighbor a peach tree that survived the winter last year.

Started Jalapeno seeds. only 1 came up.
Bought romaine lettuce 6 pack and stuck that in the container garden with the sweet potatoes that were too small to eat from last year. Found one while planting the lettuce.
Onions in the ground.
Jalapeno survived the winter. Letting it go for 2nd year. Had one that made 4 years before a hard frost killed it.

Attempting to reclaim the garden from the grass. :barnie
Piled up a bit of dirt and the chickens were more than helpful filling the row back in. Helpful little critters. Found several grubs. Yummy.

My 90 something grandma broke her femur in half this summer.
They forced her to get up hours after surgery too. Sounds horrible.
We didn't think she was going to make it home. :oops:She proved us all wrong.
They usually get people up and moving as soon as possible to combat depression and minimize/prevent blood clots. Even after surgery as intense as open heart, they like to get you on your feet within the first few hours after you wake up.
I just looked for my seed packets.
I put them where I would remember.
I can't find them.
You probably put them in a safe place. They are probably hanging out with my spare keys and other assorted treasures I've misplaced after putting them there for safe keeping.
