➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

Priscilla laid (or is it layed? pfft! whichever) in the nest box today. :celebrate It took her forever tho. In and out, in and out. But she did it so I am happy. We got 7 eggs from 8 girls. So I have another layer starting back up, which is nice. Just 1 more to go then all of them will be back in action. :yesss:

Ps... Only 3 more weeks until my littles arrive! :ya:ya:ya
:woot

It's always nice to NOT have a car note. I have my car paid off also and would love to have a new vehicle. Especially since it seems like I've had a lot of issues out of it. All of them have been fixable except 1 so far. I had a squirrel or mouse or something take a BITE out of a hose that goes to my gas tank. Which isn't covered by Ins. (we have full coverage). What is the kicker tho is you can't just replace the hose. It is not removable from the gas tank. So you have to buy a whole new tank. Thanks Chevy! :he So to have it replaced and installed would be about $2000. If my hubby wanted to do it himself, it would be about $1300. All over a squirrel. :rant I'm not leaking fuel so I deal with the sensor constantly lighting up on my dash. Sometimes it may affect my gas mileage. I'll deal with it for a while longer lol.
I hate car troubles with a passion.
Not to long ago one of my fuel pumps crapped out. We ordered a new one (we'll set because there are two fuel pumps on my dumb car) and one of the new fuel pumps was messed up.
Thank God the Mex can work on cars.
I am this close to wanting a car note.

I think that would be a noble job that could be very fulfilling. Especially in knowing that you would be helping to make a difference in someone else's life. It would take a lot of commitment and dedication.

That sucks! I hope it doesn't turn out to be anything major. :fl

Thanks, I think it would be too. And that is exactly my thoughts and why I also think it would be better than just fostering dogs for a shelter or something. I mean, that’s cool too and you are obviously helping dogs, but that’s really it. With this, I would be helping people too, or first and foremost, which I think is most important, AND, getting to raise a dog. Win win. Lol and if I ever move or something, it wouldn’t really matter because you give the dog back between a year and year and a half anyway and/or they can transfer it to another raiser (which they sometimes do anyway) so that’s a win too.

Yikes! We’ve had to replace so many things on my truck it’s crazy. I was, for a long while, dangerously driving on super corroded sway bars. The mechanic asked how the truck didn’t fall apart at the slightest bump lol

I have a 2014 Chevy Cruze. It was the only car I’ve ever owned that was brand new when I bought it. I’ve always stuck to buying cars that were at least a couple yrs old. I’ve already had a water pump, fuel pump, thermostat, the casing that holds the water so your car doesn’t overheat crack on me. I think a couple other issues. It’s been frustrating lol.
