➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

Nope! Woke up at 5 due to pain from the Wendy’s, tried laying back down and also going a few times but couldn’t do either cause every time I laid down it came back, then finally took prune juice then had to wait for it to kick in, laid down while waiting, then finally went... a lot. But not before it made the pain worse, causing more gas (I think the original problem was gas pain). Then did get on my phone a tad and probably stayed up a half hour or hour later than I needed to  then finally went back to sleep at like 7:30. But now I remembered why I never eat fast food anymore, besides trying to eat healthier.... tears up my stomach. Lesson learned lol and I just now woke up like 10, 20 minutes ago. 11:30 or 11:40 or something like that, it’s 12:05 now. Oddly I don’t feel tired yet I am. And my stomach is still grumbling/unstable cause I accidentally had TOO much juice but oh well. At least it’s not pain lol

How are you?
So I guess in a way I kind of did pull an all nighter considering I didn’t go to sleep until like 1 or 2, woke up at 5, stayed up till 7:30, slept till 11:30, so not that much sleep or at least, very broken up.

Also, sorry for the way tmi hah
I'm good! Hope you get better, and take a nap today!

Also, tomorrow I find out what my research will be over. :wee

Finally got another section on top of the pens by 6 pm....delayed because "the boys" decided they needed help sorting 20 steers out of the steer/keeper heifer herd (61 total). We then hauled the steers to Choctaw to the family farm for spring to fall grazing.
Then I made tacos and fried nopalitos for lunch. Then because the boys just know that a cow in the back pasture had her calf early and have been searching for her hidden calf, they took me with them to hunt for the pair. My records show #185 had to have lost the calf since her last calf was born July 7 last year....this is way too early for this year's calf. We didn't find her, but did find 23 morel mushrooms.
By 3:30 pm I was back working on the pens.
Hubby grilled steak and potatoes on the grill and cooked Brussels sprouts. Overcooked the steaks but appreciate his efforts.
Life on a farm.....offers many distractions and many projects.

It would seem that the kids inherited daddy's stubbornness so the cat had to be named something that wasn't Puma or Jagger. So Jett as in jet-black and fast as a jet at take off when she gets a sudden case of the zoomies. Kids are happy, husband still got to name the cat, and everyone calls her kitty-kitty anyway but at least I have something to put on all the paperwork. :lau My dad is still lobbying for a punny name (Holly Ween made me laugh) but I think the debate is closed.

Oh what do we have here? Hey, you aren’t supposed to be in here. She’s like, what do you mean? I like this nest. I want to make it mine.

Annabelle is so skittish still that it was interesting trying to get her out. Honestly, I was more worried about Noah harassing the chickens away and them not being able to lay in the coop. Thankfully he was still over on the “duck side” of the fencing. Otherwise I have no doubt he would have followed Annabelle inside the coop. This is an interesting new dynamic. She’d already laid her egg this morning too so I’m not sure what to make of it. No chicken had laid in that nest box yet so there wasn’t anything in there. She was settling down in there nicely until I disturbed her. Lol.

Bowie is pecking some of the girls head/neck so bad that there are bald spots. He is being such a butt head! I would say it's because he is trying to hang on and is a little rough because he is young, lack of technique, etc. but I can't say that is the only reason. I've seen him mount one of the girls and she is flat on the ground, not moving for him and after he is done he continues to stand on her and pecks at her head. He is otherwise good to the girls. He is forever foraging and looking for goodies for the girls and tidbits constantly. Always lets them go first for treats. But when it comes to sex he's a bully! Cute and fluffy but still a bully. I don't know if he will outgrow that and it is just part of their flock dynamic or if I need to separate him and Elvis somehow. Or get rid of both and get an older more mature and nicer rooster. I like my boys but this makes me frustrated and sad. :barnie
