Love the video! We lost our barn kitty this past month. Saw the first mouse in the barn today. Need to find me a Jett
...

She's an embarrassment to real barn cats everywhere but she's also pretty young, she might learn. Hubby wanted a lap cat and barn cat rolled into one because that's what we lucked into last time.

However, the current mindset is that cats belong indoors only so it's a complicated subject to broach when you want to adopt a cat. The cat rescues want you to sign your name to a pledge to keep them indoors! The packed full shelter was less choosy.

It's friggin' outdoor cat utopia here and I'm too honest to tell them what they want to hear. Yes, we want her to be loving toward people. We also want her to be a cold blooded murderer of all things small and rodent. Rabbit and squirrel slayer optional.

Awww, she's a little slayer. :love Black kitties are such deadly hunters. Did your family have a game of catch with the offering?
It was a very one way catch game. Basically, I scooped it in a small shovel and catapulted it into the forest.

Woke up to pee and now idk if I can go back to sleep cause I’m terrified of the massive thunderstorm :lau
I hate thunderstorms when I'm trying to sleep. All of the bedrooms are upstairs in our house and there is a massive oak tree close enough to entirely take out the kids' room. So, I get to decide whether it's bad enough to wake them to come downstairs knowing that it's going to make them completely unreasonable people the next day or let them sleep. This is the kind of crap nobody tells you about before you have kids.

I think she even lives on my side of the country! It was delicious. Didn't even regret it this morning and that never happens!
I love wine, it doesn't love me back. I don't know where I went wrong but some of it gives me hay fever symptoms (presuming it's the sulfites) and some of it triggers migraines. So, I have a lot of wine in a cabinet sitting there taunting me.

Now, the hard stuff doesn't give me any trouble as long as I don't get too crazy so I'm in on project sling vodka.

We put Priscilla back out with the others today. She has a very minor limp still from whatever tenderness is there but for the most part she healed up nicely. The first thing she did when we took her back out there was go up in the coop to the nest box and lay an egg. Then she's just been foraging all day with the others. We'll keep an eye on her overt he next couple of days to make sure everything continues to go well.

On a totally dif subject, my sweet bell peppers, lavender, thyme and rosemary is ruined. I started the seeds and they were germinating and hanging out in this little greenhouse type thing and we had some storms come thru last night and the wind has been awful today. It was anchored down but not good enough I guess. The wind sent it toppling on its side and everything got upended.:barnie So I guess I get to buy more and try again. :he
Glad Priscilla is bouncing back, sorry about the greenhouse. My mom had the exact same thing happen with her little prefab greenhouse. She put bricks on the lowest shelf after that. Plants are surprisingly tough, though, you should see what you can salvage. You might be surprised.

Bricks are a great idea. We aren't dumb people and should have thought of that but didn't. :he I wish I could've salvaged some but the dirt was everywhere. Nothing was intact. :( But I was late in getting them started anyway so I am going to think optimistically and just buy some more and start them over. We'll see what happens. :fl

My neurologist said don’t drink, if you do drink, drink vodka. A cardiologist friend only drinks vodka. I’m taking that to say two out of three physicians say I should drink vodka!

I'm glad you know how generous I am, always willing to help out a friend. In fairness, I'd have brought my own bottle... of WHISKEY. Not saying I'd turn down shots of vodka, though.
Well, I AM a sissy :lau. If I drink whiskey, it has to be that vanilla or maple flavored crown. Otherwise, I can't get it down. Vodka is my favorite. But vodka is easy.

SIL has a thing for Fireball. I'm not a huge fan. I'm more about tequila shots if not mixing something.
