I keep eyeing them at the feed store every year.
X2. @KDOGG331 should keep them in a bit longer, wet weather is worse for the cocci, that is - better for the cocci and worse for the chicks. Besides, there's nothing sweeter than their soft little peeps as they put themselves to bed. You want to enjoy that while you can.![]()
Someone skipped a few posts.
Guilty!Are they outside already?
No but you used the word cocci and it almost KILLED me.
Por que?![]()

That is true!! Their little peeps are ADORABLE!! I love how they all put themselves away at night too
But yeah, don’t wanna risk cocci
Nope!
see! I told you everyone used it like that!! Lol
Read back the last like couple pages I think. Kiki and I think glitter? Or debid? All got really upset with me for using that abbreviation lol apparently it means something different.
Specifically, coccidiosis is the name of illness from infection by coccidia.
Cocci is plural for coccus, a type of bacteria.
Coccidia are a single celled parasite, they are not bacteria.
Does that sort it out?
Oops, She is right, coccidia... my mistake. smh

I brought mine home from the hatchery in Feb I think and kept them in the bathroom for 6 weeks. Mostly because of the weather but I really enjoyed having them so close. Not recommending, just sayin'.Okay! Maybe Monday? They will be a week old and it is pretty nice.

I haven't had any chicken go broody ever. My mom had an "Australorp" that was always broody and laid chocolate brown eggs (hence the quotes, I swear she was part Marans).
You also missed where I admitted to committing this crime against language myself...I can't plead ignorance, I just don't always care enough.
