➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

That genetic relationship is never more obvious than when an angry broody is screeching at you like an insane pterodactyl :gig

:yuckyuck Cause it is so true! I have a girl that will screech at one of the other girls if they come in and she is just sitting in the box trying to lay an egg. It's like, "this nest is mine, you can't have it!" I want to get it on video one day. Cracks me up.

Ok, all caught up again lol. Now it is official. My son is a college graduate. The first in our family. I am one proud momma! :love The weather, for the most part, wasn't too bad. It started sprinkling as we were walking in. It was barely sprinkling and starting to stop as we left, with the sun coming out for pictures. I will take it! Had some showers off and on throughout the rest of the day. Before we left yesterday morning, I had to catch Sunny and put her back in the pen with the littles. Again. :barnie I see this being a frequent thing to have to do. :he And I had to shoo Annabelle out of one of the chicken's nest boxes and her and Noah out of the chicken coop. :barnie I think we're going to have to do different fencing of the duck area in order to keep them in there. Noah has been chasing the chickens when he's in their area. :smack And it's not only if they get close to him or Annabelle. Sometimes he will purposefully walk over to where they are across the yard and chase them. So keeping them away and in their own area will probably be a good thing. I'm sure Xena will appreciate that. She gets left behind because her fat butt can't fly/jump over the fence.

I wonder which foot is cut off first in most diabetics? Is it the lead foot because it gets stubbed the most?

:lau maybe?

Realistically though probably whichever one gets infected first

@KDOGG331 Your family can be allies or saboteurs. You need to tell them that you've decided to make some changes for your health and see if they're willing to participate. If they are, boom, instant accountability boost! If they aren't, well, at least they are aware and (hopefully) won't impede your efforts.

Thank you! I definitely need to tell them and talk to them. I think my dad knows because I did prevent him from making pancakes last night lol and yes he already had dinner. He just “wanted pancakes.” Told him he didn’t need it and wait till breakfast at least lol he bought buttermilk though so he wanted to make his own. But I did stop him lol

That said, l do kind of want pancakes or French toast this morning...

Idk why. I just randomly thought about it and decided I did.

Is that acceptable/am I allowed or should I just cut sugar completely? I’m afraid if I do that I’ll just on day binge a bunch all at once. Although yesterday I resisted. And I did just start.

But my idea/justification was that it is Sunday and I kind of wanted to have like a Sunday breakfast/brunch type thing and have pancakes or French toast, bacon and/or sausage, some yogurt, etc., aka all the “bad” stuff and of course I’d have eggs too from the girls, usually I make scrambled but sometimes that gets boring, gotta start mixing it up like with some omelettes or fried eggs sometime, done that before but not often, but anyway, eggs, and some sautéed spinach, maybe a couple little potatoes, and some blueberries or a banana, I would eat healthy stuff too alongside the “bad” stuff, but I just don’t know if that’s acceptable. My thinking is maybe I could do/have all that only like once a week, like in Sundays, and then the rest of the week no sugar at all?? I am even thinking about making my own dressing with like organic apple cider vinegar and/or olive oil and/or coconut oil or something like that so I don’t have the sugar in salad dressings even. And probably cutting out bread too. So I’d be like totally completely maniacally sugar free the entire week and only eating like literally vegetables and meat but then I’m thinking maybe Sundays I could have a little French toast?? Do you guys think this is a good idea or no? I know I just started yesterday but I don’t really want to wait all the way until next Sunday before I have French toast or eat any sugar. So I’m thinking now. Or maybe not even necessarily every Sunday but maybe kind of like a last hoorah thing before I completely kick it? Cause I am really going to miss it. :hit not really the processed crap so much but especially French toast. :hit

OH!

And we have real maple syrup so none of that fake, processed, artificial sugar crap.

I love your descriptions — It sounds like a delightful mad house!

Congrats to your son!
