➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

It’s my mom’s birthday so I’m cleaning the house and outside. We started packing last weekend.

Today is appraisal day for potential home :fl
Woot! She is going to love a clean house.

How's the doggy doing?

Thanks, that’s a good point, and when you put it like that it makes a lot of sense. And I definitely already recognize the problems but yet have really not made any effort to fix them.

Also not that this is an excuse but my mom always says she’s gonna do all this stuff too and never does too. So I think I possibly get it a little bit from her maybe the all talk no action thing.

I need to not be like that though.
no one is perfect, we all have setbacks and issues
My brother went to a therapist and basically he was told it was our mothers fault
Which i can see... but I told him that I realized that and figured I was an adult now and had to pull myself up by the bootstraps. I can make decisions that continue the same issues or I can do something different. If something different doesn't work out, time to try another thing. He seems to be stuck in the' coulda shouldas" instead of making changes in the here and now...

Ruger is good! We had a major setback a few weeks ago, so we started giving him vitamin E supplements, and a lot of glucosamine plus daily aspirin. He’s now able to bend down, and play around again with no yelping. He was even able to roll onto his back again for belly rubs, which he hadn’t been able to do for several months.

Great news. I'm glad the big dummy is feeling better.

He always looks sad.

Yeah, I did kind kind of think of that, I realized I kind of make myself sound like that/that way or sound way worse in my own posts and most or all of what you guys know about me comes from my own posts so I guess you do have point there. And I mean, yeah, in a way there’s some stuff I don’t put effort towards, like I haven’t really tried to change my diet, sleeping habits, or most especially the PHONE thing, but then other stuff I put a lot of effort into. Often wayyyy more effort than necessary and/or way overthink it too. So idk. It varies I guess. But the most important stuff I definitely haven’t really tried to. Need to work on that. I say that all the time but I actually need to/am going to this time. I mean, I’ve already made tons of progress with the diet part. I still occasionally eat sweets, like last night I had a couple of those cookies and a tiny bit of milk  but I’ve stuck with the fruits and vegetables and healthy meats/healthy eating thing otherwise. Which so far is longer than I’ve ever stuck with it. I’m still not perfect or 100% there but I’m working on it and way better than I was before. I even threw away the rest of the Nutella and Fluff today. In the trash. Still need to work on the time thing cause I was late again this morning but next week I’m going to aim to be 100% on time or even early. Granted, they don’t really care because I stay for a full 2 hours or more anyway no matter what time I get there (if I get there late, I stay late) and really tire them out and they’re family but still. No reason to be late when I start so late and they live down the street. But I definitely have a lot to work on and improve. And fast. I mean the year is already almost half over.

Love these pictures!! And the other ones you posted right after!! Although I must say, even though I love the stunning birds, it is kind of nice seeing the more “plain” or “ordinary” birds get photographed/get the glamour for once :love you never really see “plain” or “boring” or “ugly” animals get photographed ha we have tons of robins around here rn. Though they seem bigger to me.

I like that attitude! That is a good point!! I need to get out and get moving and stop using that as an excuse. I think the biggest thing is getting out of this house. It’s not healthy.

Me too. :love

Awwww such a cutie!!

Also I’m sure you probably know this already and also he looks totally fine but I got this stuff for Gator’s nose cause it started getting a little dry and crusty when he never had issues before and it really helped him. I just got the smallest tin but the stick might be easier. He didn’t like me rubbing it on his nose/holding him still haha but I even use it on my hands. It’s great :lau was thinking of getting some of their other products at the time too but now I don’t have a dog. But the paw stuff looked cool too.

I was never for the latest craze BUT I met a goldendoodle the other day she was cool. I'd like to have one but too rich for my blood

I love Goldendoodles! They’re so sweet! But yes, they are crazy expensive! And a lot of them are horribly bred too just because people just breed for the craze and don’t care about temperament. Although I think that’s more Labradoodles actually. Or at least with Labradoodles you’re more likely to get the crazy and hype or just crazy temperament lol with Goldens I think it’s easier to get a mellow calm one even with poor breeding. Idk. But what I really want some day is an Australian Labradoodle. Supposedly they are the “original” Labradoodle and the good ones should trace back to the original and I think they’re trying to get recognized as a breed and don’t really outcross to purebreds as much anymore. I figure with those I’m more likely to get a good breeder that actually cares. But the problem is a lot of them require early neutering/spaying or some spay and neuter before they leave and I don’t agree with that as it’s bad for them. I have found a few that don’t hit hard to. Plus of course the expense. I could just get a purebred if I’m paying those prices or get a mutt for way cheaper. But the Australian Labradoodle is Labrador Retriever, Poodle, and Cocker Spaniel. The spaniel adds a real sweetness to them. But that said, a Goldendoodle would probably be just as sweet or sweeter. I, too, have met an amazing Goldendoodle. We had one come to class once and he was the BEST. I loved him. I still see pics on FB. He’s amazing.

Sorry, there I go talking too much again.

I already do that.
