I tried to beat the storm home, but I was 5 minutes too short. At my exit I got stopped by torrential rain, 70+ mph wind, and golf ball sized hail. Possible (small) tornado went right over where I was at according to the news. I couldn’t see even see my truck hood so I have no idea if it actually was there or not.

Today is the first of last year's hatch's birthday, my little pullet is now a real hen, happy birthday to her . And she is broody . I now have 4 broodies and DH is working on one of the broody cages. Maybe I will get eggs this weekend. I really want my Granddaughter to see the chicks hatch. She already knows that you wake up at Nona's house and go outside get an egg from the chicken coop, come inside and scramble it up and eat it for breakfast. Really want her to see the baby chicks and how they grow up to be full grown chickens.

Yes, probably French Blue Copper Marans and Lavender Marans. We have been really happy with him. What have you and the Mini been up to this summer, is school over for him?

I had to pull over and wait, even though I was 5 minutes from home. Everyone else pulled over too, it was not a good situation. I waited until it let up just enough for me to see and drove on home.

Today was the last day of school for him.
He wants me to put some color in his hair....right now.
They can't have crazy color hair during the school year so last year on the last day of school I colored it blue for him.
He's been waiting for a month for this day not because it was the last day of school but because he wants his hair colored.
