➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

My first camera was a Kodak Instamatic that shot 110 film. My parents were really upset with me because I kept saying I was getting a camera for Christmas. They just knew that I had found the Christmas presents. I had not snooped or found the presents. I just wanted a camera so bad that I "knew" I was going to get one for Christmas. I have had several different models of Polaroid cameras over the years and still have one somewhere along with some film stored in the refrigerator. At some point I got an SLR system with interchangeable lenses. It is still here in a case.

Digital SLR cameras were my break through. To be able to shoot unlimited numbers of photos and develop them myself without having a dark room was just amazing. I have at least tens of thousands of photos stored on hard drives. It would not surprise me if the total is over 100,000.
I have this one with a couple of lenses but it's just collecting dust.
I haven't figured out how to use it properly yet.

When the Mini was little I used it a lot. I could easily take 500 pictures a day. Then one day I just stopped.

I didn't have a 110 camera but I Do remember using my mom's.
I started with 35 mm film.
I used to get these rolls of film developed weekly.
I have a million pictures in a couple of plastic containers stuck under my bed from years ago.
I haven't printed a picture in gosh knows how long.

They make scanners that can scan negatives directly to your computer. I bought one years ago to scan in negatives that were from my father's early ages including many relatives that are long gone. It was a great help in doing the family tree and made many others very happy to be able to have photos of their ancestors.

Those old photos are begging you to go through them.

I tried to beat the storm home, but I was 5 minutes too short. At my exit I got stopped by torrential rain, 70+ mph wind, and golf ball sized hail. :barnie Possible (small) tornado went right over where I was at according to the news. I couldn’t see even see my truck hood so I have no idea if it actually was there or not.
Wow! You were very lucky! So glad to hear you are okay. Being in a tornado is something you don't forget.

And this is kind of random but kind of funny. Been eating healthy all day. Felt great. Had like one or two bites of muffin and instantly felt a slight headache, though I ate the muffin anyway. But it’s funny that it instantly happened. Must be the sugar. Not really a bad headache though, more just like felt it. Idk how to explain it.
