No nothing lol just cause. My mom got cheap train tickets a while ago I think on Groupon or some sale or something so we went lol
I think spur of the moment trips like that can be super fun. My mom sometimes did stuff like that with my brother and me when we younger and it was always an adventure.

These are sometimes the best kind of trips.

I've been wanted to tell you my niece graduated last week. She's a real nurse now. She got a job in a ER in the medical center. :fl

He chose teal. Its wet here. It looks much brighter dry. I'll get a better shot today after I fix the few spots I missed.

Hi @Ursuline Chick !
You staying out of trouble these days?
DH is fixing ( actually re-making one of my broody cages) is I guess I am getting ready to get into trouble. 3 broodies and a new hatch this summer :fl. Granddaughter loves to get up and go to the chicken coop to get her breakfast. She and Paw Paw get an egg, warm from under the hen, come inside and scramble it and she has it for breakfast, she is 11 months old and loves the chickens ;) I am starting a new generation of trouble.

Hickory horned devil (regal moth) caterpillar (Citheronia regalis)

Yikes! These monsters can grow up to 6 inches long (about the size of a hot dog). Everything about them — from their startling turquoise-green bodies arrayed with black spikes to their prickly orange horns — screams, "Be afraid … be very afraid!" Even chickens, which rarely turn down caterpillar chow, are known to flee when they see one of these bad boys crawling by.

Turns out it's all a ruse. These giants, found in eastern U.S. forests, are about as gentle as they come. After feasting on the leaves of hickory, ash, persimmon, sycamore and walnut trees, they burrow a few inches into the ground in late summer. (They're one of the few moth caterpillars that don't spin cocoons.) The following summer, they emerge as ravishing orange, gray and cream-colored regal moths (below), one of North America's largest with an impressive 6-inch wingspan.

Not sure if the pics will show up. If not, I'll repost. This is just because I like knowing. I've never seen that kind before.

Thank you!! I am having fun so far. Saw some cows lol

I have never traveled by train either at least not for long trips. We used to ride the commuter rail a lot and still do sometimes but that’s only like an hour. And we’ve ridden the subway a lot. And we’ve done a few of those little trains around zoos or amusement parks too. But I’ve never done a longer trip like this. And our commuter rail is really old so I didn’t think the train would be so nice! It’s really comfy and even chargers and WiFi lol

So now that I know how nice they are I definitely want to do it again lol

Maybe we will go further into Maine next time, it goes further.

Or I wanna do one like through the Rockies and Canada and stuff haha don’t think I’d wanna do coast to coast though lol takes too long and I don’t think the trains THAT fun :lau maybe fly or drive somewhere and then do a shorter ride once there lol cause I do think it’d be cool to see stuff you can’t see from the road.
We took the train from NOLA to New York City, cause we thought the 4 year old would think it was cool. 33 hours there and 1 week rest then 33 hours back, Think is way to far a train ride, you know its bad when you look forward to the dining car. :th
