There was a baby bluebird that launched early and was standing in the driveway. There were heavy rains imminent so I took pity on the thing and gave it a hand back up to the nest box. It hopped inside. The next day, it was back on the ground in the same spot. Once they jump, I guess that's that. Even if they can't fly yet.It is totally wild and it really is a baby doing baby things such as holding its mouth open for food.

Now, if there were any baby hornworms on those tomato plants...
