➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

Hey Kiki? What ever happened to the horse eggs? I mean, I know they hatched but I was curious about genders. Did it turn out to be a pair or were both male?

They both turned out to be males and I’m pretty sure she still has them??

I've been skimming.
I wish I had your level of stressors lol

Yeah, I imagine most people probably do haha I know I definitely have it pretty good compared to most people and I’ll be the first to admit I could have a lot more responsibilities and work/worries  but oh trust me, there definitely are some real ones too haha but then again even those are probably nothing compared to most :lau

Both are boys.
Not a good pic but this is them from a few days ago. They are still BFFs.View attachment 1841354

They are so cute. That looks like a barn floor though? Ha

You may have answered this already, did they go back to the horse barn?

Yes they actually did.

They are with their moms.

Ahh this explains the barn floor lol that’s awesome. Glad you decided to spare them after all haha

They weren't supposed to both go back to the barn. Only one was but someone changed his mind at the last minute and decided he was keeping them both one way or another.

They have been there a little over a week and they seem to have adjusted well.

They get fed daily and have shelter.

If they start attacking me I will die but today when I went to feed they come right up and wait nicely for me to feed them.

They even sleep next to each other.

Awww that is awesome!! I am glad they are doing well and minding their manners so far. Hope that keeps up. :fl

@Ursuline Chick :love - thinking of you as I gave a broody Leghorn 9 eggs yesterday. You'd be so proud.

7 week old chicks have one that is struggling to crow this morning. Was putting off separating, but I'm fairly sure I can tell the boys from the girls now. Time to integrate the future layers with the present layers. If he keeps crowing, he won't make 16 weeks.

I know! :hit I am so disappointed. I don't know what to do for it either. I will end up replacing it and keep trying. I was looking forward to trying them. I want different fruits around here to be able to pick from.
The Nanking Cherries are ripening. There were at least 3 robins in one tree this morning. I expect that tree to not have any cherries left by this evening.
