Have you totally abandoned the original ghetto bator experiment? You have proved it is possible. Did the thermostat provide constant temperature?

I am still concerned that you will sleep through the night and not be up every 15 minutes checking on the new balutties. Sleep deprived Kiki writes some interesting posts. :)

If I buy some hatching eggs, will you hatch them? I couldn't, I mean, with the forever pregnant dog we have. I really don't think she was as far along as Crazy Lady thinks.

Abuela bator has a working thermostat and surprisingly a working thermometer. I have extra thermometers too. I calibrated my hydrometer so I now trust it. I'm stuck on phone for now. The storm that came through last night wiped my internet out. Provider says they are working to restore service. :barnie

Ghetto bator is on hold. The reptile thermostat worked.

I will hatch eggs for you if I successfully hatch balutties.

I have caught up on sleep. Let the craziness begin.

good news I have had the 7th remaining chick hatch out. he still had a bit of a open navel so I put a band aid on it so fingers crossed that one makes it! the other 6 have been moved to one of my brooders earlier and they are doing great so far. I have another egg on lockdown now and in roughly 3-4 days I should hopefully have about 10 going into lock down then followed 3 days later by another single egg with luck. and then guess what 3-4 days after that I'll have a few more going into lock down followed by (up to 31 eggs) about 4 days later LOL..Kiki it is defo a addiction.. hey wait do you think they have CCHA or CCBA meetings? (CCHA: complusive chicken hatchers anonymous. CCBA: complusive chicken buyers anonymous)..:lau

or in your case BDBA ( baluttie duck buyers anonymous) :lau:gig:wee
